This week I have a piece I put together for a follower of mine who requested a donkey character running. I took some inspiration from Marc Boutavant's Mouk series which I finally picked up a few weeks ago. His illustrations are like a modern Richard Scary and I adore them! I hope you enjoy!

Doodle of the Week: Hipster Bear
I'm sorry I've been a bit slow with the updates! I will continue to be a bit slow for the next month because of travelling and family visiting. This week I have something I've put together for this cool zine Ian Jay is putting together. I got to illustrate a bear and make it a hipster. I feel like this was fairly appropriate for me to illustrate. Hope you enjoy!

Doodle of the Week: Sundew
I apologize for missing last weekend, but I'm in the process on working a few different things all at the same time, so there will be a few more updates in the next few weeks. This week I have a throw back to some traditional media cutouts using gouache, watercolor pencils and cut paper. One of my favorite plants is the sundew and I recently picked up my own little version this weekend. They're a carnivorous plant that traps insects using small, sticky, ruby red globs and then the plant curls in on itself and digests the dead insects. They're strange, alien and also incredibly beautiful. I hope you enjoy!

Doodle of the Week: Frenchie
I've recently gotten into the habit of watching Animal Planet's Dog's 101 on youtube and I've absolutely fallen in love with French Bulldogs. They have that "so ugly and odd, it's adorable" look going on along with being super awkward. Sounds like the perfect dog for me! Are you a dog or a cat person? What's your favorite kind of cat/dog? Hope you enjoy!

Doodle of the Week: Yo-Landi Vi$$er
Hey everybody!
Hope you had a good March and are moving on into spring. This week's update is a doodle of a Yo-Landi Vi$$er of the group Die Antwoord. They're a Zef South African Rave/Rap group that makes the most insane music. I've been jamming on their last CD all this week. Here's the photo I was basing it off of. Hope you enjoy!
